What is CranioSacral Therapy

The craniosacral system is comprised of the membrane and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. The membrane consisting of the dura, arachnoid and pia reaches all the way down to the coccyx. CranioSacral Therapy uses a soft touch to release restrictions and adhesions in the craniosacral system. This allows the body's inherent wisdom to help the body heal. Because this system is comprised of the brain and spinal cord, treatment can help dysfunction in all of the body systems - the immune system, endocrine system, circulatory system, lymphatic system, musculoskeletal system etc.

Benefits

CranioSacral therapy can help alleviate:

  • fibromyalgia
  • migraines and headaches
  • fatigue
  • conception, pregnancy and post birth difficulties
  • pediatric and infant conditions such as colic, torticollis, feeding difficulties, failure to thrive
  • motor control impairments such as Parkinson's
